Information You Submit
A name, telephone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the separate provider that supplies results. Marion County Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches on its own servers. A message sent to us contains the information in that message and is used to respond.
Automatic Technical Information
Hosting services may log an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. Aggregate use helps maintain the service and understand page traffic. Cookies or similar tools can support basic analytics and, where relevant, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
Information supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and improvements. Visitor lists are not sold, and individual visitor profiles are not created.
External Services and Links
Links lead to county and state portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search services. The policy of the destination controls information submitted there. That includes the provider behind sponsored search results.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on the situation, Oregon's Consumer Privacy Act may provide access, correction, deletion, or other rights for covered private-sector data practices. Because this service retains very little, a request generally concerns the contact mailbox or available server logs. Use the Contact page to make a request. Government records held by Oregon, Marion County, or a city are outside this service's control, and any correction or removal question belongs with the custodian.
